Well the breakthrough from last weeks final paragraph did not last long, and essentially that's the theme for this week. We finished last week with the thought that I might be able to keep this house, but ultimately as we've gone through the week that's seemed less likely.
A meeting with a mortgage advisor at least showed that my part of that is possible, but whether or not we can make it happen as a divorcing couple who are still working as a team remains to be seen. Back up in the air it is!
Work has been good though this week, finally making some progress on a couple of tickets that have been taking far longer than they should have, and enabling me to crack on with something a bit more forward facing. I've been writing the open banking integration for our project, and today a colleague and I made some serious progress to being able to get it released, which is always fun.
It's the first big sim racing endurance race of the year this weekend, with the 24 hours of Daytona starting at midday and running twice round the clock. My team has 6 cars entered, which is the most we've ever had, and I've tried to cram as much prep as I can in around the family and work stuff. That's still a lot less than usual as a driver, especially being as a not tiny amount of time is spent with my team principal hat on making sure everyone else has what they need. Hopefully it'll all go smoothly for most and we'll get some good results out of it.
Got a new keyboard. Epomaker TH80. This is the first bit of writing I've done on it. It's pretty darn nice, but I think I'm probably pissing everyone in the house off right about now. Click clack click clack.
Check this song out, it's been in my head for months. Banger.
